December 2012 | | Anita presents at the Water and Sanitation Conference at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill to communicate results of the Africa Ahead Community Health Club work in Tanzania. |

August 2012 | | Previously, ViNA trained 19 Community Health Club leaders from Mkonoo village. In 2012, ViNA educated 16 leaders from Nadosoito and Terrat villages. All three villages in Terrat Ward now received intervention. |

The villagers submitted their top concerns for the community. Water resources and erosion were #1. Heidi Beebe conducted research on the understanding of contamination by young children. |

May 2010 | | Dr. Anita Boling and Dr. Mary Gauvain travel to ViNA’s new site, Terrat ward, in Tanzania. The initial trip gave Anita an opportunity to meet the community, discuss ViNA’s mission with the citizens and form partnerships. |

August 2009 | | Dr. Anita Boling led a team to Kyabasaija to establish new programs and monitor the progress of existing ones. ViNA staff member Jihan Mandilawi (MPH), Heidi Beebe (doctoral student in developmental psychology), Stephen McKenna (businessman and entrepreneur), Gina Robles (Animal Husbandry specialist). Stephen documented the trip through photography and videography, Jihan trained health leaders, Heidi collected data for research on sanitation and urban migration, Gina educated villagers in animal husbandry, and Anita visited and reviewed all the projects. |

Stephen documented the trip through photography and videography; Anita, Jihan and Heidi performed in-depth interviews and focus groups with village leaders, health professionals, teachers, students, parents and man and women groups. |
