About ViNA

Our Mission

The mission of Village Network Africa (ViNA) is to improve quality of life for rural villagers suffering from poverty by building healthy, productive communities one village at a time. Areas targeted for development are health promotion, safe water, and sanitation. Priorities have been identified in each focus area. Further development will arise from civil society initiatives that promote citizen participation, accountability, and the rule of law. Sustainable development is planned through collaboration with local village leaders.

Our Vision

ViNA envisions African villages without poverty and social injustice, where individuals enjoy enhanced human dignity through sustained positive health, social, and economic conditions. By creating an environment of hope and empowerment, village communities provide opportunities to retain and support their residents.

Core Values

  • Respect – We respect the inherent value and dignity of all people and affirm the worth of the contributions from diverse populations.
  • Collaboration – We work together with all interested parties as a team to efficiently and effectively serve the village community.
  • Integrity – Consistent with the ViNA mission, we encourage honesty, responsibility and transparency in what we do and say as a team and as individuals
  • Justice – Believing that every individual has the right to live with dignity, we work to provide equitable opportunities for all residents of village communities.
  • Empowerment – We believe in providing people with the tools and resources they need to achieve their full potential and take an active role in creating and sustaining positive changes in their lives and communities.
  • Innovation – A creative, multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving provides optimal solutions.
